Definition of career changer
A career changer is someone who does not have a specific professional qualification (e.g. vocational training or studies) for a job, but still performs it. Career changers are therefore also referred to as “lateral entrants” or “non-specialists”.
This definition is quite broad and it is therefore not surprising that there are lateral entrants in many different industries. For example, lateral entrants work as teachers or soldiers or in sales.
Other jobs in which lateral entrants are frequently employed include:

In some industries and jobs, lateral entry is the rule, in others it is rather unusual, and in some jobs lateral entry is not possible at all. 1. Check your motivation
Lateral entrants are employees from other fields. If you are planning a lateral entry, the first question is why you want to turn your back on your previous job.

In some cases, a job in a new industry may be the solution to your problems. But if you are simply dissatisfied with your supervisor, for example, then it may be enough to change employers but stay in the same career field.

Therefore, it is even more important that you know your motivation for changing lanes on your career path. Under no circumstances should you make such a far-reaching decision on a short-term whim.
2. Set realistic goals (or go new ways)
